r-bioc-rtracklayer software package provides GNU R interface to genome browsers and their annotation tracks, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install r-bioc-rtracklayer
r-bioc-rtracklayer is installed in your system.
Make ensure the r-bioc-rtracklayer package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep r-bioc-rtracklayer *
You will get with r-bioc-rtracklayer package name, version, architecture and description in a table
